PUTRAJAYA : The Human Resources Ministry is considering to fully adopt an online system with regard to foreign workers’ applications and matters that require monetary transaction.

Its minister M. Kulasegaran said by doing so, it would reduce officers having to deal with the public directly which could lead to corruption.

“My mandate to the staff in this ministry is to strive for zero-corruption, which has been an issue under the past government. We do not want to embrace the problem but to totally eradicate it.

“One of the proposals is to use online system for applications related to the ministry which involve money. This is to prevent officers from meeting or being exposed to any sources that can lead to corruption, especially when dealing with applications for foreign workers.
