A planned scheme to grade maid employment agencies and boost the professionalism of the industry has been delayed for over a year after several issues were raised during consultation sessions.

The Trustmark scheme was first announced by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in March 2016 and was meant to be rolled out by December 2017. That target has been missed by more than a year and it is not clear when the scheme will be launched.
