Minister of the Interior Comrade Abba Moro has promised that the federal government will fulfill its promise to the victims of the failed immigration recruitment exercise last year.

He said in a statement by his special assistant on media, George Udoh, yesterday in Abuja that the delay in not implementing the presidential directives till this moment was the need to exercise due diligence and to ensure that due process was not abused and genuine claimants are not omitted in the recruitment exercise.

“The Presidential Committee has almost completed its assignment and the board of Civil Defence, Immigration and Prisons will not hesitate to implement the President’s directives on the palliatives for the families of the victims at the end of the Committee’s assignment,” said the statement.
