MANILA – A recruitment agency in Manila has been ordered to halt recruitment operations after Filipino truck drivers it sent to Europe were found to be “working and living in substandard conditions.”

In a statement Sunday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration issued the order against United Primover Enterprise Inc and its principal, HBT Transport Internationale in Poland, which recruited the drivers.
