The European Union (EU) will take steps to recruit more skilled manpower from Bangladesh.

The assurances came at the meeting between EU Ambassador to Bangladesh Pierre Mayaudon and Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandakar Mosharraf Hossian at Expatriate Welfare Building in Eskaton of Dhaka on Sunday.

The EU will move forward in this regard after checking feasibility in its member countries, reports BSS.

Moreover, the EU also showed keen interest to provide financial assistance to Bangladesh in creating skilled manpower through training.

Besides, Bangladesh has signed an agreement with Technical and Further Education (TAFE) of Australia to create world standard skilled manpower, he added.
